VOLTAGE PLANNING, MADE CLEAR
Stabilizer Calculator for your supply.
Estimate a starting kVA rating and input-current range, then confirm full-load performance with the manufacturer.
Plan your voltage regulation.
Three-phase voltage is line-to-line; current is line current. Unbalanced loads need individual assessment.
Real input power of equipment to be supplied. Do not use mechanical motor output without allowing for efficiency.
Use a measured or specified apparent-power load. Confirm starting surge separately.
Use measured or specified load power factor. It converts between kW and kVA.
Single-phase: line-to-neutral. Balanced three-phase: line-to-line.
Minimum site supply voltage. The selected stabilizer must support full load at this voltage.
Maximum site supply voltage, using the same voltage basis as the minimum input.
Sizing assumptions +
These are sizing assumptions, not a quotation or a guarantee of full-load voltage performance.
Extra connected load to allow for in the design.
80% leaves capacity headroom. Actual model ratings across the input range still need confirmation.
Used only for an indicative input-current estimate. It does not prove a device’s full-load input range.

BEHIND YOUR ESTIMATE
A rating is only the starting point.
A stabilizer must support the connected load over the actual input-voltage range. This tool estimates kVA and design currents; the manufacturer must confirm full-load voltage performance, correction characteristics and load compatibility.
Does the suggested kVA select a stabilizer model?
No. It is the next common reference class above the calculated minimum. The selected model must also support full load at the minimum and maximum input voltage, phase arrangement, starting current and output requirements.
Why does low input voltage matter?
At a constant real load, lower voltage needs higher current. The current comparison is a simplified design estimate, not a manufacturer derating curve. There is no universal correction factor that proves every stabilizer’s low-voltage capability.
Which voltage should I enter for three-phase?
Enter line-to-line AC voltage for a balanced three-phase system. Single-phase voltage is line-to-neutral. Unequal phase loading, phase-to-neutral conditions and special transformer arrangements need separate assessment.
Can a stabilizer provide backup in a power cut?
A voltage stabilizer regulates an available AC supply. It does not provide stored-energy backup during an outage. A compatible UPS or other backup system is a separate requirement.
